Platinum Yoga — A Calm, Reliable Spot That’s Become One of My Favorites I’ve been trying to get back into some kind of routine lately, especially now that school things are picking up again, and I really wanted a place where I could unwind without feeling rushed or out of place. That’s how I ended up at Platinum Yoga , and honestly, it’s turned into one of those spots I go back to whenever I need a reset. What I like most is how relaxed and welcoming it feels. There’s no pressure to look a certain way or already know every pose. The classes are super varied — hot yoga, gentle flow, pilates, even livestream sessions — so no matter what mood I’m in, there’s something that fits. Plus, the instructors are really patient and make the classes feel chill instead of intimidating. And because they have multiple locations across Singapore, it’s pretty easy to find one that isn’t too out of the way. The membership options are flexible too, which I appreciate. They’ve got monthly passes, ...

Miniture Making - 313 Somerset  I recently tried something completely different, a miniature-making workshop at 313 Somerset, and honestly, it ended up being one of the most relaxing things I’ve done in a while. I’d seen pictures online of people creating tiny cafés, bedrooms, and bakeries, and I finally decided to give it a try myself. The whole experience is way more satisfying than I expected. You get a full kit with all the pieces you need, from the little furniture parts to the decorations, and the staff are super patient about helping you figure things out. It’s not too hard either, you can go at your own pace, and there’s something really calming about putting everything together piece by piece. It kind of feels like art therapy but with glue and tweezers. What I liked most was how personal you could make it. You get to choose your design, mine was a mini café setup, and add your own touches to it. When it’s done, you walk away with something that actually looks really goo...

LeMa Dumpling – A Healthy Airport Option  Before my soccer trip to Manila, our coach kept reminding us to eat something healthy before the flight. So when I got to Jewel Changi Airport, I started walking around looking for something light but filling. That’s when I found LeMa Dumpling tucked away near the basement level — one of those places you’d probably miss if you weren’t looking for it. I got a box of pork and cabbage dumplings , and they were honestly perfect — warm, juicy, and not greasy at all. Exactly what I needed before flying. The whole meal felt super fresh, and for airport food, it’s surprisingly affordable. A box of dumplings costs around $4–$6 , which is kind of crazy for the quality you get. The space itself is cozy and clean, with big windows where you can see the staff making dumplings by hand. There’s something really nice about eating somewhere that feels simple but done with care. If I had to give one piece of feedback, it would be about visibility. It’s ...

LOST SG: Singapore’s High-Tech Escape Room Adventure The first time I went to LOST SG , it was for a friend’s birthday, and honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I’d heard about escape rooms before but never tried one. Now, after going back recently, I can say it’s easily one of the most fun things to do in Singapore if you like solving puzzles or just want a good laugh with friends. It’s located at GR.iD Mall on Selegie Road, and the whole place gives off a cool, mysterious vibe the moment you step in. The staff explains the rules, hands you a tablet, and once you’re locked in the room, the clock starts ticking. My friends and I tried the Alcatraz theme, and it actually felt like we were inside a movie set, hidden switches, moving walls, and clues that made us think (and argue) in the best way possible. Every room has its own story and level of difficulty, so whether you’re a beginner or a pro at escape rooms, there’s something for everyone. What makes LOST SG stand out is how im...

Rough Beauty – Local Soap Brand You Should Check Out Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference in your daily routine. I was scrolling online looking for something simple but meaningful to add into mine, and that’s when I came across Rough Beauty , a Singapore-based brand that makes handmade botanical soaps.                                                             I decided to try out a few bars, and honestly, they’ve been such a nice little upgrade. The scents are light and natural—not overpowering like some store-bought soaps—and they actually feel really gentle on the skin. Using them makes something as ordinary as washing your hands or showering feel just a bit more pleasent. They’re also surprisingly great as gifts. Soap might seem like a small thing, but when it’s handmade with care and wrapped in simple, mi...

KARA Cafe & Dessert Bar Back in middle school, KARA Cafe & Dessert Bar was one of my go-to hangout spots. My friends and I would head there after class for frozen yogurt and mochi waffles, and it always felt like the perfect little escape. Over time, though, I kind of forgot about it—it slipped off my radar as new places opened up. But when Yo-Chi landed in Singapore this year and started making waves, it reminded me of KARA. So I went back, and honestly, it still hits just as well as it used to. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with warm lighting and enough space to either settle in with your laptop or just chat over dessert. You’ll find grain bowls, toasties, salads, and of course, their signature mochi waffles topped with frozen yogurt. Most of the savory dishes sit in the $12–$18 range, while desserts and froyo are usually around $6–$10, so it’s not too hard on the wallet for a casual meal or sweet treat. My favorite part is that you can make it whatever you want it ...

T92made – Personalized Gifts The soccer season just kicked off, and I wanted to do something special for my team this year. Between practices, matches, and all the sweat that comes with it, I figured something both useful and personal would be perfect. That’s when I found T92made , a Singapore-owned Etsy store that makes personalized embroidered gifts. For my team, I went with towels, each one stitched with a name and a small soccer ball design. Simple, but super practical. After practice, we all actually use them, and it feels cool seeing everyone with their own towel that’s theirs and not just some random one from home. Plus, it gave us this small sense of unity at the start of the season, like we had something just for us. What I really like about T92made is that it isn’t just towels. The shop has a ton of other things too—tote bags, shirts, pouches, even baby gifts. It’s one of those places where you can scroll through and find something thoughtful for almost anyone. The prices...
