Kildi: Handcrafted Wood Designs with a Personal Touch

I first found Kildi while browsing Etsy, and it immediately stood out. In a marketplace full of factory-made products, Kildi’s natural and simple wooden items caught my eye. Their handmade products—like desk accessories and kitchenware—are stylish, practical, and made with care. Nothing feels cheap or mass-produced. Each piece looks like it was thoughtfully designed to be both useful and beautiful.

What I loved most was the balance in their designs. Everything feels modern but not cold, handmade but not too rustic. Whether it’s a pen holder, a wall hook, or a serving board, you can see the effort and attention to detail in every item. It’s the kind of store that makes you slow down and appreciate the smooth wood, the clean shapes, and how well each piece is made.

I was surprised (and excited) to learn that Kildi is actually based in Singapore. They started on Etsy but now have their own online store too. Their collection has grown, with options in rich walnut or light maple wood. No matter your style, their products have a calm, timeless feel that fits in almost any home. If you want to add warmth and character to your space without going over the top, Kildi is a great choice.

Prices range from around $20 for smaller items to over $150 for larger ones like cutting boards and organizers. At first, the prices might seem high compared to mass-market brands, but when you consider the quality materials, skilled craftsmanship, and long-lasting durability, it really feels worth it.

While I’m a big fan of Kildi’s craftsmanship and design, there are a few small areas where I think they could improve. First, I would love to see more detailed product descriptions on their website—especially when it comes to dimensions, wood types, and care instructions. For handmade items, those details really matter and help customers make more confident choices.

Additionally, although their product range is thoughtfully curated, a few more functional items or customization options (like engraving) might appeal to a wider audience looking for both beauty and practicality

Overall,  discovering Kildi felt like finding a hidden gem. Their wooden pieces are calm, thoughtful, and well-made—perfect for anyone who wants to bring a bit of warmth and care into their home.
