I’m not someone who’s super into flower shopping, but when I was looking for a good spot in Singapore to get a bouquet, I started reading reviews and one really stood out. Someone wrote: “Have come here for many years. I always say my budget, pick one or two flowers I like, and then Aunty Chuin makes beautiful bouquets for me with her artistic flair and knowledge of flowers. Friends are always impressed to receive the unique flower arrangements.” That was enough to make me want to check it out.

Tucked inside Ghim Moh Market, Chuin’s Petals & Gifts is a small flower stall that’s been around for years. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, but that’s what makes it feel special. Aunty Chuin is friendly and easy to talk to. You can just tell her your budget and maybe a flower or two you like, and she’ll put together something really pretty without you needing to overthink it.

Prices range anywhere from $5 to $500, so whether you’re picking up a small bouquet just because, or something more elaborate, there’s something for everyone.

One thing I did notice, though, is that the stall doesn’t really market itself much, and because of that, it tends to blend into the background of the market. There’s no clear signage or standout display that draws your attention from a distance, which means a lot of potential customers might pass by without realizing there’s a gem right there. Updating the stall’s exterior with new and vibrant signage, maybe something with floral illustrations or even a chalkboard with daily specials, could help it stand out more.

They also don’t have a formal website, but they do have a Facebook page, so uploading more photos of their work there could really help bring more exposure. A few clear pictures of recent bouquets or customer favorites would go a long way in showing off what Aunty Chuin can do and might encourage more people to check them out, especially those browsing online first.

This flower shop, it’s one of those places that wins you over with its heart. If you're after something thoughtful, affordable, and personal, this is a little gem worth supporting.
